Executive Assistant to Head of School

POSITION OVERVIEW

First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through Eighth Grade, is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Head of School. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Head of School. This role is critical to the Head of the School’s ability to implement the strategic plan of the school. It is a full-time, non-exempt, twelve-month position reporting to the Head of School.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to equip students with the Truth of God’s Word while developing their character, intellect, and potential to Explore, Create, Challenge, and Lead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calendar Management – Proactively manage the Head of School’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, conference calls and email follow-ups.
  • Travel Arrangements – Arrange all travel logistics for school events and professional development opportunities.
  • Meeting Coordination – Prepare agendas, gather necessary materials and manage meeting logistics for internal and external meetings.
  • Project Management - Assist with special projects as assigned by the Head of School, including coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking progress. 
  • Relationship Management – Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees.
  • Continuous Professional Growth – Pursue professional development opportunities to strengthen effectiveness in duties assigned.
  • Assume responsibility for other assignments as assigned by the Head of School.

The position is Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:30PM.   • Individualized Care and Learning – Provide personalized care and learning experiences based on each child's developmental stage, needs, and interests. Use play-based learning activities and sensory-rich experiences to support growth in areas such as motor skills, language development, and social interaction.
  • Collective Collaboration – Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to create a cohesive learning environment, sharing ideas and strategies to support the overall development of infants and toddlers. Ensure that every child makes progress in line with FBA’s mission and values.
  • Parent Communication – Maintain open and consistent communication with parents through regular updates, informal conversations, and developmental progress reports. Utilize FBA's communication platforms to keep parents informed about their child’s daily activities and milestones.

  • Continuous Professional Growth – Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay informed of best practices in early childhood education. Must accrue at least 24 hours of training in applicable areas of child development. Apply new techniques and research to enhance classroom practices and support the developmental needs of young children.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree or Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Experience with Early Childhood Development – Possess a strong passion for and background in working with young children, particularly those ranging from infants to five years old.

Position Overview

First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through Eighth Grade, is seeking a Physical Education Teacher with a strong emphasis on motor learning and skill development. This teacher will play a key role in helping students develop fundamental movement skills, coordination and athletic abilities while instilling a lifelong appreciation for physical activity, character formation and active play. Encore Staff

POSITION OVERVIEW

First Baptist Academy is seeking Encore staff to join our school year team. This role is a part-time position that oversees the students that must remain on campus after school is out until their parents are able to pick up the students. The hours of the position are from 2:45PM-6:15PM from the first day of school through the last day of school (9 1/2 months). Holidays are consistent with the school calendar.

  • Supervise the children involved in the Encore program.

Position Overview

The substitute teacher position maintains the classroom atmosphere of orderliness and respect exhibiting professionalism and maturity through the unknowns of daily classroom routines and subject content. This is a part time position that varies in hours as needed.
