Education through Eighth Grade is an intentional framework that provides advantages for both students and parents.
First Baptist Academy helps students navigate the significant transition from childhood to adolescence. We wholeheartedly value this pivotal stage in a young person's life, fostering spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.
KNOWN & LOVED
With an intentionally small student-to-teacher ratio, we offer a familial environment for children. This offers continuity and stability throughout their Early Childhood, Lower and Middle School years. It also allows us to know and love all students by supporting them academically and socially which creates more confident learners.
DEDICATED RESOURCES
FBA students utilize our state-of-the-art facilities and are supported by highly trained staff to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and establish a strong academic foundation in an age-appropriate environment. All resources are intentionally dedicated to producing an eighth grader who fulfills our Portrait of a Graduate.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Our middle schoolers build their confidence and strengthen their character through intentional opportunities like chapel leaders, athletics team captains and student ambassadors. Starting in Lower School, our faculty works with each student to identify and develop their unique gifts through academics, athletics and the arts, resulting in confident leaders. Our Warrior Crew program pairs older and younger students, building strong connections across our student community.
INTENTIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT
FBA students, along with their parents, benefit greatly from the opportunity to choose a high school when the student’s strengths, learning styles and interests are clearly understood. By Eighth Grade, students are equipped to join their parents in the selection process for high school, fostering a sense of ownership and confidence as they prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.
FBA’s Middle School counselor helps navigate the high school choice process, meeting with students and parents to help decide the best place for each student. The high school application process offers a unique opportunity for Eighth Grade students to gain valuable experience in interviewing, writing admissions essays, and having a voice in an important decision-making process.
