Position Overview
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through Eighth Grade, is seeking a part-time Special Events & Parent Liaison Coordinator. This part-time role will focus on coordinating special events, serving as a liaison for parent organizations, managing room parent activities, and handling logistical details across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and passionate about building a vibrant school community. This position reports to the Director of Advancement.

Key Responsibilities
- Special Events Coordinator:
- Plan, organize, and execute various FBA events, including but not limited to:
- Orientation
- Room Parent Breakfast
- Internal Warrior Fund activities
- Book Fair Family Night
- Grandparents Day
- FBA Day
- Donor events
- Fundraising events
- End-of-school events
- Miscellaneous school celebrations
- Coordinate event logistics, including setting up and breaking down events.
- Reserve space and coordinate event setups with the facilities team.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parent organizations to ensure seamless event execution.
- Manage event calendars across departments to avoid scheduling conflicts.
- Conduct post-event surveys to gather feedback for future improvements.
- Plan, organize, and execute various FBA events, including but not limited to:
- Parent Organization Liaison:
- Serve as the primary contact for the Warrior Parent Association and Warrior Athletics Booster Club.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between these organizations and FBA administration to support joint initiatives and events.
- Room Parent Coordinator:
- Update Room Parent information and power point for Room Parent Breakfast each fall.
- Oversee and support Room Parents for each grade level.
- Ensure Room Parents are equipped to assist with class activities, events, and parent-teacher communication.
- Volunteer Coordination:
- Utilize Veracross volunteer tracking capabilities.
- Work with other volunteer coordinators within the school to ensure a good volunteer experience.
- Recruit and organize volunteers for events and special projects.
- Provide guidance and support to volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records and reports related to events, volunteers, and parent organization activities.
- Assist the Director of Advancement with logistical planning and administrative support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Experience in event planning or project coordination
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with technology platforms for event management and communication
- Strong Christian character
- Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible work schedule (20 hours per week), including evenings and weekends when necessary

Position Overview
First Baptist Academy is seeking Encore staff to join our school year team. This role is a part-time position that oversees the students that must remain on campus after school is out until their parents are able to pick up the students. The hours of the position are from 2:45PM-6:15PM from the first day of school through the last day of school (9 1/2 months). Holidays are consistent with the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the children involved in the Encore program.
- Follow the schedule of each grade level and oversee homework time, snacks, and playground, gym, and classroom time. Takes daily attendance.
- Assist with all minor medical emergencies after 4:00PM. Notifies parents if further medical attention is necessary.

POSITION OVERVIEW
First Baptist Academy, serving students Infants through Eighth Grade, is seeking a Primary School Teacher Assistant. The Primary School teacher assistant will support FBA’s vision, mission, and strategic goals with students and parents ages Infant-PK4. This position reports to the Director of Early Childhood.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work diligently in assisting teachers and office staff with daily needs in Early Childhood, implementing positive guidance, and executing effective classroom management strategies for Infant-PreK4 students.
- Communicate with parents during the school year with regular correspondence through Brightwheel.
- Work closely with grade-level team members, specialists, administrators, and other colleagues to ensure that all children make academic and social progress in accordance with FBA’s mission and core values.

Position Overview
First Baptist Academy is seeking a Part Time Assistant to join the Primary School team. The Primary School part-time assistant position is Monday-Friday from 12:00-6:00PM. The ideal applicant should have experience with children ages infant through five years old. The applicant must be an active Christian, be nurturing, love children and be able to relate to them.

- Candidate must be in good health with the physical stamina and agility to work with children.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Have the ability to sit frequently on the floor with children, stand for periods of 30 minutes, walk at a steady pace, and bend at the knee and squat while attending to the children's bathroom needs.
- Needs to work well in a team environment alongside two assistants as well as with the Director of Early Childhood and Office Administration.
- Must accrue at least 24 hours of training in applicable areas of each child development studies.
- Keep up with current developments in education by voluntarily attending professional meetings, working on advanced degrees, etc.

Position Overview
The substitute teacher position maintains the classroom atmosphere of orderliness and respect exhibiting professionalism and maturity through the unknowns of daily classroom routines and subject content. This is a part time position that varies in hours as needed.

- Arrive promptly at 7:15AM
- Cover the teacher’s assigned duty (early morning drop off, lunch duty, carpool), when applicable.
- Read and review all teacher notes, preferably ahead of time, if possible.
- Take attendance
- Have students show respect, participate, and stand for the morning announcements, prayer, and pledge.
- Follow class schedules and times on task, as provided.
- Replace teacher materials in drawers or shelves provided.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety.
- Provide proper supervision at all times, insuring the health and safety of students.
- Display appropriate love and justice for all students.
- Keep all students on task, making no allowance for foolishness, and holding students accountable for their choices.
- Finish the day, checking off all teacher-expected work.
- Give feedback to the teacher by making notes of things that were important: discipline matters, student concerns, and incomplete work for any subject, etc.
- Ask for help when needed.
